Here we will change the dual mass flywheel for a single mass version, because it was extremely loud. We also had to change the clutch because it was slipping. After disassembly we'll see why... This video contains almost every operation from A-Z. The vehicle is a 2003 e39 520d Touring.
Parts that were changed:
- flywheel, Part Nr 835031, Valeo kit
- clutch plate,
- pressure plate,
- throw out bearing,
- pilot bearing in the crankshaft,

Operations (dismounting):
- mud plate under the engine,

After change:
The car is a bit less comfortable, more vibrations are comming, on the other hand the driver can more precisely dose the power to the wheels and the flywheel should last for a long time...
Enjoy!
