It is time to assemble the pistons and the connection rods on this BMW S54 engine. But before that we going to see, is it safe to use ARP bolts ( using the rod bolt stretch gauge torque method ). After checking that, we going to proceed with the new conrod bearings installation. I have decide that I will use ACL conrod bearings, STD H + STD HX sizes. Lets see, what clearance we going to achieve, measuring with the plastigauge.
