As a prelude to Noah's Ark, The Book of Enoch sets the stage as sin multiplies throughout the earth, particularly from the arrival of the watchers, or fallen angels. Grandpa Malachi explains how Adam and Eve birthed many children, who were the parents of the children of men during Enoch's time. The watchers mingled with the daughters of men who bore giants or nephilim. They also mingled their seed with animals creating abominable beasts. Both terrorized and subdued men, who conducted themselves in all sorts of sin, idolatry, witchcraft and debauchery. The watchers asked Enoch, scribe of righteousness, to petition YAHUAH for their gross transgression, but YAHUA rejected them for leaving their first estate. Enoch continued to testify against the wickedness of the nephilim and warned of an upcoming deluge, until he's taken to heaven by a fiery chariot. Sin continues to spread as YAHUAH allows the nephilim to terrorize and devour them. Few righteous men remained unpolluted in the land, groaning for the mercies of YAHUAH: Enoch's son Methuselah, his son, Lamech, and Lamech's son, Noah.
