Have you wondered if @boschebikesystems limited edition CX Race Unit is still competitive against the newly released Gen 5 drive unit? In this video we focus purely on the speed, power and efficiency of both drive units to see how they do in a couple of climbed hill segments. Based on the comments from many of our viewers, it seems despite the Bosch CX Gen 4 Race (CXR) unit’s impressive assist, weight and power to weight ratio, it’s a deal breaker for those wanting the latest. Based on our riding experience, while we can’t deny there’s likely going to be a hit in terms of resale due to the Gen 4 Race being an older unit, it’s still very much competitive, at least it is in January of 2025.
