Lots of knobs, lots of modes, lots of inputs and outputs, no mystery functions. There's plenty to like about the RE-202 Space Echo. The fact that it's designed as a "faithful recreation" of the old tape echo machine is largely irrelevant. What's important is whether it's a good delay that's fun to use and delivers what you need. What is somewhat strange is that for something called a "space echo" it doesn't do big whooshy space ambience. What it does deliver is sold, interesting pattern delays. For me its only failing is the lack of any stereo panning. But otherwise an excellent, solid machine that a lot of fun to twiddle. It's closest competitor imo is the Erica Synths Zen Delay.
