Bottlenose Dolphin Strand Feeding - Aerial View
A short aerial view of Bottlenose Dolphins executing a strand feeding in a coastal inlet. This is a learned hunting strategy in which a group of dolphins strategically corrals a cluster of fish onto the shore by swimming in a line and generating a small wave that pushes the cluster onto the beach. The dolphins will then beach themselves in an attempt to catch the stunned or flailing fish before re-entering the water.
