If you're in the Wisconsin area and have been wanting to visit "Wellington Retro Bowl", then this center's a great alternative!! Since they are very similar, it has been nicknamed "Wellington Retro Bowl 2"! In my opinion, this place is more retro because of their Model A's.
Excellent bowling alley located in Mt Horeb, WI. Currently, this little retro center is being restored by Thomas, the founder of the new Roblox game "KingPin", and Norsk's staff! I thought their wooden lanes were absolutely fantastic, as they were very consistent and smooth! According to Thomas, they had just recently resurfaced all their lanes, elaborating their consistencies. From the front counter toggle switches/counters to their Model A's, I was blown away by the experience and the quality of their lanes!
Utilizing controllable LED light fixtures from which you can manipulate from your mobile device, Thomas was able to restore the Starshields in color! With the help of Rob from the Garage Bowling Alley channel, Thomas was also able to fully repair the strike indicator lights on the Starshields which illuminate red crowns! Personally, I really like the design of these strike indicators compared to the traditional "X" on other units. Rob from GBA had also sent other parts/hardware such as replacement rake decals for lanes 1, 2, 3, and 7.
From the film, you've probably observed how some of their cappings have been torn out. They plan on completely replacing them with new equipment, including gutters with a bumper system! I'm excited to see how it all looks after the finalized renovations!
