Welcome to Chesterfield on 18th February 1986, where we witness a variety of old diesel traction but not just that. Some very interesting services, such as "The European" from Harwich Parkeston Quay to Glasgow/Edinburgh. The 07.20 Blackpool North to Cambridge !
06.50 London Paddington to Leeds and Hull....WOW ! The London St.Pancras services were mainly HST but still several were Class 45 hauled and as for the freight trundling through with class 37's, 20's 47's Chesterfield was a brilliant location for the railway enthusiast back in this era. At least the church with it's twisted spire still remains.
