Stenciled royal icing transfers are a game-changing technique that helps simplify your decorating process, allowing you to prep ahead while still achieving consistent, professional results. These transfers can be stored just like piped royal icing transfers, giving you more flexibility and saving time during busy seasons.
In this video tutorial, I’ll walk you through how to frost using the Brave Pooh layered stencil set, featured as the May 2024 Stencil of the Month design. This set is perfect for creating beautiful, detailed cookies with ease, and I’ll be sharing some important stenciling tips along the way!
💡 Stenciling Tips:
🔵Make sure your royal icing consistency is a thick, toothpaste-like consistency. This will prevent the icing from seeping under the stencil.
🔵Pro tip: Trace the shape with your icing tip as you apply the icing to tack down the stencil securely.
🔵After applying the icing, scrape the layers flat and thin for a smooth, professional finish. You want to scrape all the way down to your stencil, this will help each layer dry quickly and fully.
