Manchester United have submitted an opening bid to sign Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo. The proposed deal is worth £55 million, comprising £45 million upfront and £10 million in add-ons. However, Brentford have rejected this initial offer, valuing Mbeumo at over £60 million. 
Mbeumo, who scored 20 Premier League goals and provided 8 assists in the 2024–25 season, is reportedly keen on a move to Old Trafford. He is seeking a significant wage increase from his current £50,000 per week to £250,000 per week. Manchester United are open to increasing his salary but may not meet his full wage demands.  
Brentford are willing to consider offers for the 25-year-old, who has one year remaining on his contract, with an option for an additional year. The club is already exploring potential replacements, including Celtic winger Nicolas Kühn. 
Negotiations between Manchester United and Brentford are ongoing, with both parties working towards a potential agreement.
