This short documentary by The Artist's Well was filmed between December and January 2025what in Ireland to coincide with a landmark exhibition of Brian Maguire's work entitled 'La Grande Illusion' covering five gallery spaces in the Hugh Lane, Dublin. It has been updated to include a Song for Bangladesh by kind permission of the composer and singerJoan Baez for this documentary.
The Artist's Well is a live Arts show on Saturday mornings at 10am, via Zoom and recorded for playback on The Artist's Well YouTube channel. It provides viewers with an insight into the lives, work spaces and work practices of artists throughout Ireland and beyond in order to inspire and support each other. Featuring individuals from all disciplines of the Arts and those connected with or working in the Arts, it is intended to enrich viewers with knowledge, experience, fresh thinking, techniques and advice. The Artist’s Well is a non-scripted, informal interview and studio tour format with the opportunity for viewers to ask questions at the end.
