Bikepacking on a Brompton, a folding bike trip for two! Well, actually it was me on my Brompton as usual, and Lynne on her shiny new Tern folding bike, with a really nice luggage set up.
It was February, and really cold, but super nice to be out. We rode from St Paul's Cathedral to St Albans, a section of the "Cathedrals Cycle Route". En route we tested the YHA hostel near Cheshunt. The last time we stayed in a YHA was when we were teenagers, forty years ago. We wondered what it would be like now. Great place! Great breakfast! Wow I don't remember we ever had breakfasts like that in the old days... prob a good thing haha
Anyway, thank you for all the support x In case you don't know, unfortunately my breast cancer came back last year. After an operation and chemotherapy, now I'm on hormone treatment, which I'll be on long term. The hospital said that exercise helps vs the side effects of it, so partly for that reason I'm doing "NHS recommended exercise for adults" ie nothing fancy, just walking, cycling and running, plus bits of HIIT, leaping around in the living room. So far so good! So lucky.
Obviously exercise helps everything - I am building myself up, and planning lots of cycling and camping trips this year. Map all over the place here! So glad and grateful to be able to do all this. My next trip is already done actually - on my own again, camping my way through Wales to see my sister in law - coming soon!
Anyway, thank you meanwhile from Lynne and me for watching! We hope you enjoy our film!
