Original listing and sheet music here: https://musescore.com/user/36482158/scores/23367523?from=youtube_share "An Afro-American Jazz Classique". An excellent jazz-novelty piece written by a 21 year old singer-musician-composer from New York City who in that same year of 1926 joined a singing trio called The Rhythm Boys with another up-and-coming performer named Bing Crosby. Harry Barris (1905-1962) composed dozens of songs, with several big hits, but never came out with another jazz instrumental despite some success with this one which was recorded by a number of bands in the 1920s. It was published by Larry Conley Music in St. Louis in 1926. "Brown Sugar" performed by the Red Heads featuring Red Nichols in 1926: https://youtu.be/jbXZAp2ygQQ?si=xgLX1XFWQfoqjX1e Original score source was from HathiTrust at this link: https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=mdp.39015080987178&seq=1 This is a reproduction of the original score.
