Watch as I redo an old classic style Browning Autoloader 5, commonly shortened to the “Auto-5”, and often referred to as the A-5, or “humpback”shotgun. In this series I focus on repairing the wood portion of this classic auto loading shotgun. I’m no professional but a hobby enthusiast, but I will take this forend and stock and turn it into a fully repaired and restored functional integral piece of this firearm. This video just focuses on the removing old stain, fixing cracks, repair the ring onset of the forend, sanding, removing oil that has soaked into the grain and decades of grime and grit, all in preparation of receiving a stain and refinish( in the next video). I hope you enjoy what’s been put together and learn something, as I learn some things as well in my journey to restore this fantastic firearm.
