A review of the BRS 3000T after 1,300+ miles of use. After the stove failed on the first night of our thru hike of Virginia on the Appalachian Trail, I was able to get the stove to work by lubricating the O-ring with Neosporin (Link to that video below). Once I got the stove to light, I left the stove screwed on to the cannister, fearing that it would not work if I took it off. I really like what this stove is supposed to do: it's compact, lightweight, simple to operate...it's just not reliable. It's worth mentioning that I tried 4 different brands of fuel, and I always kept the stove and cannister insulated in cold weather.
