Brutal Chaos in Ontario Today! Snow Storm Causing Collision Pileup in Orillia
Provincial police have shut down a section of Highway 11 in Orillia after what they are describing as a very serious multi-vehicle collision. The highway is closed between Coldwater Road and Line 15 in both directions, and police are advising motorists to avoid the area altogether. There were about 50 to 60 vehicles involved," said Orillia Fire Chief Chris Ferry from the crash scene, where whiteout conditions were still in place. Environment Canada says 15 cm of snow fell at the Ottawa Airport Thursday night and Friday morning. Some areas of Ottawa saw less snow. Around 5 cm of snow is possible in the southwest portion of the province, including Windsor. Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington and Oakville are among other regions that could see up to 10 cm of snow by early Sunday.
