Three friends Nastia, Serhii and Maksym left a village near Kyiv in the morning of the March 4, 2022. They were going to deliver food for the animal shelter and to visit the parents of one of them in Bucha. They all became victims of russian military. On the Kyivo-Myrotska street in Bucha, russians shot Maksym in the head while he was driving. Nastia and Serhii tried to escape from the car, but were killed too.
The journalists received the footage of surveillance cameras sent by an anonymous source, and worked to identify the russians involved in that crime. Using false legends, the journalists were able to talk to russian soldiers and their relatives, and to find out not only the regiment that committed this war crime, but also the name of the commander who led soldiers on Kyivo-Myrotska street that day. This commander is honored as “the hero of Russia”. The journalists will pass the gathered evidence to the investigators.
