Just months before we lost the great Buddy Emmons (the creator of pedal steel guitar as we know it), and had just lost Ray Price, we were honored to be a part of a tribute Larry Black did on the Country's Family Reunion series of shows that Mike Johnson and most of the rest of this particular band have been a part of since the first series recorded at Sound Emporium in 1997. It's one of the few interviews that you'll find with Buddy talking about his great cut of THE NIGHTLIFE. (perhaps the ONLY one.) Mike Johnson pays tribute to his hero as do the rest of us while T Graham Brown proceeds to lay soul all over this great song. I feel sure that I speak for everyone involved with this show when I say "Thanks, Larry for letting us be a part of history that hopefully will far outlast us all. I couldn't be prouder to be a part of ANY television series." - Dirk Johnson
