I play a Magic the Gathering Online Pauper league with Grixis Affinity, a deck from Patreon subscriber Stefan. Pauper Affinity used to be Atog, the classic 1-color artifact lands, some burn, and hoping the mana worked out. In the last few years, the Modern Horizons indestructible artifact dual land Bridges plus the printing of many different versions of "Sacrifice an artifact, draw 2 cards" have shifted the shell into... almost whatever you want? Splashing Thoughtcast into Grixis Control is one of the flavors and it's the one we're looking at today. Great mana, great interaction, insane card draw, it's one of the top decks for a reason.
