My 81-year-old mom and I go on a walking tour of Seminyak, Bali to a modern supermarket. See some of the local streets and budget friendly costs of grocery items. Bintang Supermarket is perfect for expat retirees seeking a budget-friendly ONE-STOP SHOP destination. Perfect for digital nomads, retirees, and anyone looking to live frugally in paradise! Along the way, we stop at a nearby boutique hotel, Blue Karma, where Mom likes to go with her friend to hang by the pool and have lunch. (No sponsorship, just love the design.) Then, we show the streets of the main drag in Seminyak, where there is an abundance of shopping. We then move on to The Bakers Bistro, where Mom shares her morning breakfast ritual of her fruit bowl and flat white coffee. Afterward, we walk right next door to the leading supermarket, Bintang, where expats will find many of the types of groceries they are used to. We price out some of the top staple items to get the feel of what things really cost here. Toilet paper, paper towels, beer, milk, eggs, bread...and much more. After dragging the groceries back, we end up at Mom's house, where my dog, Bulu, and her cat, Freddy, are waiting. Now that Mom and I are retired, we are savoring life, one moment at a time. #Bali #BaliLiving #BudgetTravel #DigitalNomad #Retirement #GroceryShopping #BaliOnABudget #ExpatLife #frugalliving Music Courtesy of: Cody Francis- I Remember Well Western Call We're Gonna Be Okay LVGOON- At the Rainbows End
