The focus of the video is on helping learners develop their speaking skills independently, without needing a teacher present, and offering accessible resources that support daily fluency practice. The first tool featured in the video is called Gliglish (gliglish.com). This is a fluency-focused technology that allows users to have conversations with an AI bot. It does not give feedback, but it offers students the chance to speak for up to 10 minutes per day for free. It works across multiple languages and is designed to help learners improve their fluency simply by engaging in daily spoken conversations. Students can sign up and start speaking with the click of a button, making it extremely easy to use and ideal for learners who want to build fluency through consistent practice. The second tool shown in the video is SpeakPal (speakpal.ai), which goes a step further by not only allowing learners to have conversations with an AI but also providing feedback on their speaking performance. This tool helps students understand what they need to improve, making it more targeted than Gligli. In the video, I explain how students can keep track of the feedback they receive and use it to improve their speaking over time. This makes SpeakPower a great choice for learners who want both fluency practice and actionable insights into their language use. In addition to these two core tools, I also briefly mention several other speaking bots that students can explore if they want more options beyond Gligli and SpeakPower. I also share links to helpful videos covering other areas of language learning, offering additional support for learners who want to build fluency in a more rounded way. This video is designed for both students and teachers who are looking for effective, free tools to build fluency in languages. Whether you're learning on your own or supporting others in their language learning journey, these tools offer simple, practical ways to speak more confidently and regularly.
