This is a project that I've wanted to do for many years, ever since seeing the box art, but I struggled with how to get that characteristic pattern that you can see on most every improved LOS ANGELES Class submarine, also known as a 688(i). The kits on the market don't have the pattern, so I had to scratch it, in what was probably the most difficult way, but it was the only way where I had success in keeping everything aligned and within an arbitrary tolerance that I picked.
