In Alaska, we survive with wood heat and the wood stove is the heart and soul of our cabin. Today we set out to build a slate stone hearth pad, but first we must get on the roof and repair/clean our chimney that was damaged by the immense snow storms we endured during the winter. This is a husband and wife working together to make dreams become reality in the woods of Alaska.
