Flex Track gives you the ability to design and build a model railroad without the constraints and limited choices that come when using set track. Set track us the track designed primarily for toy train sets, and has a limited selection of straight lengths, curves, and turnouts. It's fine for setting up a temporary layout for the holidays or building a small layout using the manufacturer's plan book. But when it comes to designing and building flex track allows you to use any length of straight track or curved radius you desire. It can even be bent into complex "S" curves and return loops. In this video I'll share with you my tips for laying flex track, specifically straight sections, and in a future video we'll use it for some curves.
