James is deeply committed to advancing industry standards and knowledge. He actively contributes to initiatives supporting the implementation of the BC Step Code and shares his expertise as an instructor at the High-Performance Building Lab at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He has been recognized with the prestigious BCIT Teaching Excellence Award in 2021 and the Vancouver Regional Construction Association Excellence for Educational Leadership award in 2022.
