Video Not Working? Fix It Now

It took almost 7 weeks... but we've got the building permission from the Town Hall to start the renovation on our kitchen in the village house!

Getting permission to build in the countryside in Spain can feel like a bit of a minefield - with lots of conflicting information and experiences - so that's why we're going to make a video very soon all about how to get permission to build off grid, and about permits for renovation in Spain, for both rural and urban buildings.

Before we can start the big kitchen demo (sneak peak in the thumbnail!) we need to prepare the space and materials, ready to begin knocking down walls and demolishing the old kitchen.

In this video we also share a little garden update with you, and show you how some of our mulberry propagation and the worm farm are doing.

Thank you for following our journey.
¡Un gran abrazo desde Smithsdale Farm!

[ABOUT US]
We're Danny and Kate. In 2015 we moved from the UK to Barcelona, and after 8 years enjoying the busy city and sunny beaches we moved to the mountains to start a new adventure. We'll be renovating a town house, building an off grid cabin, restoring an old stone house and farming 12.5 acres of land with regenerative agriculture and permaculture practices in Catalunya, Spain.
