You feel safe on Amazon, so why not buy your flight sim peripherals and monitors right there? It's already there, so get started in a place where you ALREADY shop and in a place where you feel safe and you trust the system? I mean it just makes sense. This video covers just that, building the perfect amazon home flight simulator.

MONITOR AND COCKPIT:
The chair and mounting system for your controls is actually 100% optional, but I’ve found that something like this would be super helpful.
There’s no reason you couldn’t use an office chair and an old desk you have sitting downstairs, either, so build accordingly. No reason to purchase everything on this list, but purchase what seems right for your situation.

There are a good amount of controls on the interwebs and on Amazon, but let’s get serious: there aren’t really THAT many options.
So I’m giving you a simple list of items you can get on Amazon here. Can you get upgrades?
Sure can, get what’s most important to you. And don’t forget, there’s no reason to stay here inside the Amazon environment. You can go outside to third party sites and get whatever you want.
My goal is to make sure you get a good start inside of a place you probably already hang out: Amazon.
I was scammed out of a lot of money trying to buy flight controls awhile back from random guy on the internet. I hate scammers. They make my blood boil, I’ll be honest.
I’d rather pay full price 10x than give a single scammer a dime of my money….
Amazon will give you a safe environment to get started purchasing items and peripherals from for your flight simulator.
Below is a small list of controls you can purchase:
CONTROLS:
LG Yoke and Throttle: https://amzn.to/4eDDW7Y
Push Pull TPM w/Trim and Flaps: https://amzn.to/405yp6r
LG Pedals: https://amzn.to/3XDMeGb
Desktop Aviator Fuel Selector: https://amzn.to/3XFZxG5
AVIONICS:
Your avionics are ALL onscreen. They are manipulated and viewed through 2 24” touchscreen monitors which are either sitting on a desk in front of you or mounted to a rolling floor mount for VESA mounted monitors.
The avionics, GPS, radios, transponder, and autopilot (and a whole lot more) can be manipulated with a dual encoder that is compatible with Air Manager.
You can get one from Flight Velocity right on Amazon (link below), or tbh, if I were you, I’d just pick up the Knobster from Sim Innovations so you know it’s going to be compatible outside the box.
I give you my full endorsement of Sim Innovations, they will not scam you.

You can use X-Plane or Microsoft Flight Simulator for any and all of this build, all of the peripherals should be compatible (should be). I still recommend PC and X-Plane all the way.
