Video Not Working? Fix It Now

In this video, I walk you through the build of the Tarsus Table — a custom, handcrafted dining table made from solid 8/4 white oak. Sized at 72" long, 36" wide, and 30" tall, this piece is designed for both beauty and functionality.

The name Tarsus is inspired by the segmented leg structures of spiders, reflected in the bold, angular legs. The leg joints are constructed using Festool Domino joinery with floating mortise and tenon connections (8mm x 50mm), delivering exceptional strength and a clean look.

The table is finished with Renner 718, a matte, ultra-clear finish that maintains the natural color of white oak with minimal ambering. It’s a top choice for clients seeking a cool, contemporary, and modern aesthetic. The finish was professionally sprayed using a Fuji Mini Mite 5 HVLP system for a smooth, even coat.

If you enjoy fine woodworking, modern design, and watching functional art come to life, you’ll love this build.
