Welcome to episode 30 of The Paint Show!!! This is a celebration, and what better way to celebrate than to cover a paint I've been using for SO LONG, and SO EXTENSIVELY - BURNT SIENNA (Daniel Smith). Somehow this paint slipped under The Paint Show's radar, and I'm happy to finally cover it 😁 You can get it here (affiliate links): Burnt Sienna - Single Tube: http://amzn.to/2FHNRN3 Burnt Sienna - 2-Pack: http://amzn.to/2GgjafV 🎨BURNT SIENNA / DANIEL SMITH 🎨 I've been using Daniel Smith's Burnt Sienna for SO LONG, and it's been a long time favourite of mine! I mainly use it to produce WARM dark shadows. As many others, I too love to combine it with French Ultramarine to create interesting plays of warm and cool shadows. Over the years (yes, 2 years haha!) I learned this color also works exceptionally well with Quinacridone Rose and a variety of Yellows. It can also be used as a part of a Velasquez palette. 🎨TIME-STAMPS 🎨 00:16 - Introduction 01:10 - Daniel Smith's Paint Description on Amazon 02:01 - The Tube 02:58 - Paint Info 05:04 - A Painting Using Burnt Sienna 07:49 - Swatch Demo 10:40 - Wet in Wet 12:05 - Dry Brush 12:59 - Mixes with French Ultramarine, Quinacridone Rose and Hansa Yellow Medium 18:51 - All Results 19:59 - Conclusion 🎨PAINT INFO 🎨 Pigment - PBr7 (some use oranges and reds, Daniel Smith use a more brown pigment, Brown Iron Oxide) Excellent lightfastness Semi-transparent Granulating Non-staining Series 1 (on Amazon - about 15$ for a single tube, and 24 for a 2-pack) 🎨PURCHASE IT HERE 🎨 Here are links to purchase all the paints I covered in this episode.
