The 2000 presidential election cycle featured Texas Governor George Bush, the Republican nominee, and Vice President Al Gore, the Democratic nominee. The third debate was a 90-minute town hall, where uncommitted voters could ask questions on all topics. Moderated by Jim Lehrer of PBS, it took place on October 17, 2000, in St. Louis, Missouri.
