BUSTIER DRAPING
This Tutorial is for Advanced learners who want to learn how to drape a bustier on the dress form.
This is one of the easiest way on how to make patterns not just bustier but also other styles of garments.
In this tutorial I highlighted these 3 steps on how to drape a bustier on the dress form;
1. DRAFTING ON THE DRESS FORM
2. DRAPING OR TRACING PATTERNS (3D PATTERN MAKING)
3. TRANSFERRING OF PATTERNS (FLAT PATTERNS)
Now highly suggest to those who want to drape to get a dress form like what i am using.
the dress form that i used in this tutorial is from THE SHOP COMPANY.
I got this dress form before lockdown and I'm pretty sure it looks familiar to all of you because sewists, pattern makers and designers all over the world use this kind of dress form and for me this is the best dress form to use.
if you already have a dress form but without existing lines like mine,
you can make a bodice for your own dress form and use the guidelines on the bodice for draping.
