Yet another Tama drum set unboxing, yet another used drum set in the collection, yet another drum kit to fill up my house... lol. I've owned a vintage Tama Superstar, Imperialstar, and Fibrestar, but never any of the lower end drum kits from back then. This is a Tama Royalstar in Brazilian Grain finish. Its not actually rosewood, but if you knew nothing about the kit and saw it from a distance you would probably never know haha. Its not even a veneer! Nothing too crazy about this kit, but it need a quick restoration. A little finish retouching and a couple deep gouges filled. I'm no expert on these types of repairs but I figured this would be a great kit to practice on. The snare used is that Ludwig Acrolite I found at Goodwill forever ago. I LOVE that snare 😁
