Rep. Byron Donalds of Florida delivered a speech at the 2025 Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday, Feb. 12, 2025, just 12 hours after President Donald Trump called Donalds to inform him he would be endorsing Donalds for a potential run to become Florida's next governor.
Trump also posted to his Truth Social platform to endorse Donalds, saying "Byron Donalds would be a truly Great and Powerful Governor for Florida and, should he decide to run, will have my Complete and Total Endorsement. RUN, BYRON, RUN!"
