SCలను మూడు గ్రూపులుగా వర్గీకరించి రిజర్వేషన్లు అమలుకు రాష్ట్ర మంత్రిమండలి అంగీకరించింది. SC వర్గీకరణపై జస్టిస్ షమీమ్ అఖ్తర్ కమిషన్ చేసిన నాలుగు సిఫార్సుల్లో మూడింటిని కేబినెట్ ఆమోదించింది. MPలు, MLAలు, ZP ఛైర్మన్లు, మేయర్, గ్రూప్ ఉద్యోగుల పిల్లలకు రిజర్వేషన్లు అమలు చేయవద్దన్న కమిషన్ ప్రతిపాదనను రాష్ట్ర మంత్రివర్గం తోసిపుచ్చింది. గ్రూప్ వన్ లో 15కులాలకు ఒక శాతం, గ్రూప్ టూలోని 18 కులాలకు 9.. గ్రూప్ 3లోని 26 కులాలకు 5 శాతం రిజర్వేషన్లు అమలు చేయాలని మంత్రివర్గం ఆమోదించింది. అనంతరం SC వర్గీకరణ కమిషన్ నివేదికను ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి అసెంబ్లీలో ప్రవేశ పెట్టారు.
