The number of houses around the tracks gradually decreases, and the natural scenery gradually increases (although most Japanese railway lines are still residential). Shinrin-koen, the final stop on this trip, is a national park. "Shinrin" means forest. "Koen" means park. It takes about 60 minutes from the starting point, Ikebukuro Station, to Shinrin-koen Station.
There is a yard adjacent to Shinrin-koen Station, and many trains start and end at this station. I plan to upload the itinerary from Shinrin-koen Station onwards at a later date. Photo taken in December 2024
