Our experience Talking about this plant, it is just as charming as other varieties of Calathea. It has been more than 18 months since we bought it, but its height has not increased to what it is supposed to be. We do not know what could be the reason. As with others, we have kept it indoors. The artistic patterns on its leaves are no less attractive than those of other Calatheas. I like this plant. You would also like to keep this Freddie in your house. Thanks for watching this video. We will post another video if there is any new development. About plant: Native to Brazil, Freddie is a tropical plant that comes alive with daylight, opening its leaves and soaking up the sunlight, before closing up again at night. It has long, narrow leaves and dark green veins, which really make it stand out from the crowd. Although these plants are a little more demanding when it comes to care, they will show you when they are unhappy. For example, yellow leaves are a sign of over-watering, whilst brown leaf tips are the result of dry air upsetting your plant. Freddie is a beautiful variety with a dark green chevron leaf pattern. It is one of the most robust Calathea varieties, and this is a great first choice for plant lovers. Vivid, bright lime-green leaves with a deeper dash of green that is reminiscent of animal print - hence the name - will stand proud and pack a visual punch with its bountiful foliage. The prayer plant is aptly known due to the movement of the leaves depending on the lighting and time of day.
