Cam Phaser Lockout Install

In this episode, camshaft phaser lockouts are installed into each timing chain sprocket assembly. Variable camshaft timing (VCT) is typically used to increase torque at lower RPMs while not sacrificing power at higher RPMs. For those who have aftermarket camshafts, installing camshaft phaser limiter or lockouts is a good option to prevent variable camshaft timing (VCT) control issues, to reduce the likelihood of piston-valve interference, and to generally increase the robustness of the engine.
