How useful are cantrips in D&D? Depends who you ask. Ask a Warlock, they'll tell you there's exactly one cantrip which is better than most spells. Ask a Wizard, they'll give some credit to cantrips, but not be over-enthused. Ask an optimiser, they'll tell you there are "Better options".
