Can Caleb Thrive Under Ben Johnsons Offense? || Remembering Virginia McCaskey and Dick Jauron
Ben Johnson, the newly hired head coach of the Chicago Bears, is widely considered to have chosen the team largely because of the presence of young quarterback Caleb Williams, with many believing Johnson's offensive scheme will significantly elevate Williams' potential and could lead to a high-powered offense in Chicago; Johnson has stated he will tailor his offensive play calling specifically to Williams' strengths, creating a strong partnership between the coach and the talented quarterback
Bears are nearing an agreement to bring in Tulane OL coach Dan Roushar as their new offensive line coach under Ben Johnson. The 64-year-old has a wealth of experience coaching offensive lines at both the pro and college levels
Eric Bieniemy has agreed to terms to become the Bears’ running backs coach
Eric Bieniemy was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 2006 to 2023, mostly on the Kansas City Chiefs but then he went and became the assistant head coach/offensive coordinator of the Washington Commanders in 2023.
Over his sixteen years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 163-96-0.
During the 2018 and 2022 seasons as the offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs he coached Patrick Mahomes to the Most Valuable Player and AP Offensive Player of the Year.
He is a VERY BIG addition to the coaching staff that Ben Johnson has been able to put together as the New Chicago Bears Head Coach.
