I tried overcoming what I consider to be perfect pitch's "greatest weakness" - baroque pitch, also known as tuning to A = 415 hz, since everything feels "off" by a semitone. (If you have a friend with perfect pitch, you can make their brain implode by showing them a score while playing the audio in baroque pitch!) I also talk about that time my perfect pitch "shifted" and the effects of "losing" it by having it change, so it's an interesting topic I don't see talked about a lot.
All this happened while I was learning basso continuo (a style of playing with figured bass) on the harpsichord, so this was kind of a double whammy on top of being dunked on by baroque A = 415hz pitch. It was a very interesting journey and I hope my experience here will be interesting to those who are either interested in this issue or have similar experiences!
