These exterior Saltillo terracotta tile where sealed with a sealer that is not designed for the outdoors.
The sealer began to flake and peel and it has only been 2 years since they were last sealed.
What I really want you guys to see is the effects of sanding down into your Saltillo tiles and ruining the integrity and natural patina of the tile.
As I said in previous videos, when you sand into terracotta tiles you reveal the French bread like inside and this ensures you have pit, grooves, and swirls.
You will see some good examples in this video of the differences between grinding your Saltillo tile to remove the sealer and using a chemical process like I use to revitalize your terracotta tile floors.
