ChatGPT & Photography: A Helpful Tool or a Creative Crutch?
If you remember last week's video, a lot of the feedback that I received was that ChatGPT overcooked the example image that I used, largely because I had already processed it, which I have hopefully addressed in this video. In this video, I explore how ChatGPT can assist new photographers in processing their images, but also why it shouldn't replace personal artistic expression. Photography is deeply personal, and while AI can be a valuable tool for learning and refining techniques, the final creative decisions should always be your own. The journey begins in the field, where I capture two intimate landscapes of plants and a broader winter oak tree scene by a reservoir. Then, back in my home office, I discuss the role of AI in photography while demonstrating its effectiveness in editing one of my raw files.
