Hello everybody I'm Lapis! For those who don't know I'm an indie game dev that does game jams and streams myself playing various games, mostly challenge runs like this one or 100% playthroughs. My main goals with everything I do is to learn new skills and lessons. I'm also not afraid to do something stupid and go a little overboard if it means I learn something valuable and get a good laugh or three out of it... So long as it's just a little. As part of this goal I want to at least try and write down my thoughts here in the description of what I think about a video after having made it, so here goes!
Overall I think this video could have been much higher quality. I should have retaken some voice lines, cleaned up my script, done much better with the edited sections, all the footage was recorded at weird resolutions and I didn't stitch them together very well, as well as many more things. But for a first video it's certainly a start that could have been worse, and I do look forward to making more videos in the future! Especially the later parts of this run there are some crazy moments that I want to share with you all. I think my main goal with the next video I make will be to establish some form of baseline in quality that I can look at and go, "yep that's the quality of my videos" for at least a little bit. Something I made myself to compare with the other things I make myself.
