Here is an entire part of a Physics Olympiad Problem from the International Physics Olympiad involving relativity and particle physics. This is an IPho Problem from 2016.
This is a physics problem based on the Large Hadron Collider and it involves using concepts from special relativity including Einstein's energy equivalence, relativistic momentum, force and kinetic energy.
The original problem can be found here:
https://ipho.olimpicos.net/pdf/IPhO_2016_Q3.pdf
And the official solutions:
https://ipho.olimpicos.net/pdf/IPhO_2016_S3.pdf
Please note that these are not official solutions in any way and full credit goes to the organisers of the International Physics Olympiad for creating these master piece problems! There can always be alternative solutions, mistakes and things to learn and this is part of the fun.
The problem can also be used as a challenge problem for A-Level Physics (all exam boards including AQA, OCR, Edexcel, Eduqas etc), as preparation for the British Physics Olympiad and other local physics olympiads and similar courses such as AP Physics, IB Physics etc. It can also be used for JEE Advanced aspirants who would enjoy this problem.
