Capturing An Impulse / Reverb Of A Room with Space Designer
In this video I’m going to show you how to use Logic’s Space Designer to capture the Impulse Response (IR) / reverb of a room.
You can then use this in your mixes and productions - pretty cool!
It’s actually very easy.
I’ll also show you how to turn it into a WAV so you can use it in other IR loaders, like Waves IR-L and Altiverb, for example.
00:00 - INTRO - Listen to the IR I recorded
01:14 - 1. SETUP IR UTILITY (from Space Designer)
02:28 - 2. Set INs & OUTs within IR Utility
04:07 - 3. TEST THE OUTPUT TONE and check the mic
05:11 - 4. SET THE SWEEP / REVERN TIME
06:01 - 5. CAPTURE THE IR!
07:33 - 6. AUDITION THE IR
08:38 - 7. CREATE THE SETTING for use in Space Designer
10:11 - 8. CREATING THE WAV FILE for Use in other IR loaders (Waves IR-L, AltiVerb etc)
11:44 - 9. OUTRO / Final Thoughts
