Today I will show you three super simple tricks in Capture One Pro that you should do right at the beginning of every edit. They take one minute to apply and will give you a fantastic starting point for further artistic adjustments. We will be working inside the LENS TAB with the LENS CORRECTION TOOL.
It is a good idea to quickly check every image you are about to start editing in terms of ARTIFACTS such as CHROMATIC ABERRATION, PURPLE FRINGING and LENS VIGNETTING. It takes just a quick scan, but identifying these issues and fixing them right at the beginning will produce high quality artwork in the end. What’s the point in spending time and creating spectacular color grading, when it is sitting on an image with strong HALO ARTIFACTS. The LENS CORRECTION TOOL is really easy to use and I would recommend getting familiar with its features to get the most out of your RAW files.
