Growing up at Disneyland, this was one of my favorite attractions. It was entertaining, educational and gave you a chance to catch your breath for a bit. I was so pleased to see it get a new lease on life at the Magic Kingdom. I must admit that I was disappointed that this version omitted the classic “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” song, replacing it with "The Best Time of Your Life". Fortunately the original song was reinstated in 1993. The original attraction had four acts, highlighting progress from 1900, 1920, 1940 and 1960. These days we make a grand leap from 1940 to the 21st century! I wish we could see the original fourth act, but Disney can’t have that. Can you pick out all the times that references to General Electric (the original sponsor) have been deleted from the script? I have tried to enhance the video with color correction and stabilization, so please give it a look, let me know what you think and I hope you enjoy a little look into the past.
