Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Heyo! This video is part 4 of my Tile Carving Series. I’ll show you how to relief carve the different shapes in your design so that there are 3 planes and a background. It is super important that you create shadows to define your shapes and that you eliminate all your drawn lines. This will make your tile design go from a lined drawing to a three dimensional carving! How exciting! I hope you enjoy this lesson! -Miss Linnea Lark AMAZON STORE: Store Link: https://www.amazon.com/shop/misslinnealark?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsfshop_aipsfmisslinnealark_SSHFVKNJK0WYK61EVDQR Carving Tools List: https://amzn.to/3rXiqID TEACHER INFO: Emaze Presentation: https://www.emaze.com/@AOQTRCTIQ/geometric-carved-tile Carved Tile Brainstorming Worksheet: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Carved-Tile-Brainstorm-Worksheet-7417820 This brainstorming worksheet will walk your ceramics students through designing a symmetrical design using a minimum of 5 shapes. They'll then carve 3 textures onto 3 of their shapes. This lesson will help students with 3 main facets of carving: 1) Carving multiple (3) planes with overlapping shapes. 2) Learning to carve shapes into forms with movement. 3) Using carving tools to create specific natural or man-made textures. These 3 facets of carving are essential stepping stones for students to learn before attempting more advanced sculptures. This is usually my 2nd project in Ceramics 1 with mostly 9th graders.
