On February 25th 2024 I made my way out to Cass to chase the new Winter Greenbrier Express trains which followed the Greenbrier River 15 miles to Durbin West Virginia on ex C&O track. Shay 5 had the privilege of these trips built in 1905 by lima locomotive works it was bought new by Cass and never left the railroad. Shay 5 is wearing a homemade 3 chime in this video. This is one of my more relaxing Cass videos in my opinion with the quiet river and some of the best whistle echo's I've ever captured. Enjoy this video of Shay No.5 running the winter river trains!
