Castile Soap Recipe
700g olive oil
448g distilled water
147g Potassium Hydroxide https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001EDK0WK/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_9XV1HBGG7WZJN9KMKWF6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
-In a crock pot set to high, heat oil to 130 degrees F
-Add potassium hydroxide to water
-Pour potassium hydroxide mix to water
-Using an emersion blender, mix for 30 minutes (if mixture becomes too thick for blender, use a wooden spoon)
-Cover with a lid, and allow to cook for about 4 hours, stirring every 30 minutes. (If your soap becomes too foamy, then it is possible that your crock pot's temperature may be too hot; simply switch between high and low when you stir)
-Test by dissolving a small amount of soap into hot distilled water, in a clear glass container (if it dissolves clear, then it's done; if it dissolves cloudy or opaque, give it 30 min. more, and test again)
-Once soap has completed cooking, place entire contents in a large crock pot; add 1 gallon distilled water, set temperature to low (160 degrees F) and heat for about 12 hours until completely dissolved
